Order name badges
Marketing and Communication coordinates the production of UQ name badges for staff and students. We create the artwork, liaise with the external supplier on your behalf, and you pay the supplier directly by credit card. Details on badge format, cost, delivery, and ordering procedures are outlined below.
Staff name badges
Plastic purple badge with white logo and text as per sample below. The size is 75mm wide x 25mm deep. They have a quality domed finish and magnet (or brooch) fitting.
- Due to space limitations, personal titles, position titles and entity names are not included on badges. (Exceptions may apply for public facing entities such as Medical or UQ VET clinics only.)
- Pronouns are permitted.
Note: Medical School staff badges are 30mm deep with a larger font size to improve readability for patients and staff in health care settings.
Student name badges
Plastic white badge with purple logo and text as per sample below. The size is 75mm wide x 25mm deep. They have a quality domed finish and magnet (or brooch) fitting.
Student badges are normally ordered by staff within the School/Faculty. If students wish to place an order they must provide approval from their School/Faculty.
- Students must be identified by work or study area, for example: Student Ambassador, Medical Student, Pharmacy Student, Veterinary Student, Veterinary Technology Student.
- Pronouns are permitted.
Medical School student badges are 30mm deep with a larger font size to improve readability for patients and staff in health care settings. Badges are ordered in bulk by the Medical School/Rural Clinical School on behalf of students.
Replacement badges: Medical Students can order direct from Marketing and Communication as per instructions below.
School of Veterinary Science student badges are ordered in bulk by the student associations in Semester 1 only. Students can place and pay for their badge via Rubric and/or make enquiries to the UQ VTA for Veterinary Technology badges or the UQ VSA for Veterinary Science badges.
Outside of Semester 1 and/or replacement badges: Veterinary Students can order direct from Marketing and Communication as per instructions below.
Cost (ex GST)
Important: Students ordering badges from Marketing and Communication (ie. not via their School / Faculty) must add 10% GST to the costs below.
Cost per badge is adjusted on an economies of scale basis:
- 1-5 badge $13.79 (magnetic) / $11.73 (brooch) each
- 6-10 badges $13.14 (magnetic) / $11.08 (brooch) each
- 11-20 badges $12.05 (magnetic) / $9.99 (brooch) each
- 21-50 badges $10.63 (magnetic) / $8.57 (brooch) each
- 51-100 badges $9.42 (magnetic) / $7.36 (brooch) each
- 101-200 badges $8.77 (magnetic) / $6.71 (brooch) each
- 201+ badges $8.45 (magnetic) / $6.39 (brooch) each

STANDARD
- $10 Standard post - Allow 6-10 business days from order
- $15 Australia Post Express - Allow 4-6 business days from order
- $5 Store pickup (packaging and handling fees only) - Allow 3-5 business days from order:

URGENT
Orders must be placed with our supplier by 11am and is contingent on their capacity.
- $40 Next day despatch (includes Australia Post Express) - Allow 2-3 business days from order
- $50 Same day despatch (includes Australia Post Express) - Next business day delivery.

How to Order
To order name badges (or make an enquiry) please email stationery@uq.edu.au and provide:
- list of names (for large orders, please provide a spreadsheet or table with first and last names combined into a single column)
- preferred delivery option (see above)
- date delivery required by (if applicable)
- postal name and address
- badges will be ordered with magnetic clasps by default - please advise if a brooch clasp is required.
A proof of your badges will be shared with you for review prior to placing the order with our supplier.
Payment
The supplier invoice will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched. Please pay by credit card using the secure payment link included in the invoice.
- Payment by credit card is the preferred payment method.
- A RISQ form is not required.
- A Purchase Order is not required.
