Contact, UQ's alumni magazine, is now a digital-first features site that is updated regularly and distributed electronically to around 170,000 alumni each month. The site includes notable alumni profiles, interviews, alumni networking opportunities, and the highlights of UQ’s learning, discovery and engagement activities.

You can submit story ideas for Contact, or update your contact details to receive the monthly e-newsletter. 

Research Impact is an online features site, updated monthly with new stories and case studies, which showcases how UQ research has impact and creates positive change for society – right across the world, every day. 

Story submissions are welcome at any time. 

UQ produces a suite of Guides each year that provide prospective students and their parents or caregivers with an introduction to study and life at UQ, including information about our programs, entry requirements, how to apply, living costs, accommodation and much more.

These are produced in conjunction with the Future Students School Liaison team, the Academic Services Division (ASD), UQ International (UQI), and UQ Admissions, with contributions from faculties, schools, colleges and other departments.

Staff Updates is a bulletin-board-style site that is updated daily to inform staff about UQ news, events, development opportunities, deals, and other announcements. 

Every Monday afternoon, UQ staff also receive an email containing a brief summary of the week’s main headlines, and linking to the main site. 

People who wish to submit items for the UQ Update website or weekly email should complete the submission form.

This comprehensive guide to the sandstone centrepiece of The University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus – the Great Court – navigates the reader effortlessly through the site’s iconic carvings and their history.

Carving a history: a guide to the Great Court is a major update and restructure of the existing publication A guide to the Great Court, first produced by UQ's Media and Information Services (now Office of Marketing and Communications) and published by UQP in 1979, then revised and updated in 1992.

This updated guide is designed as an easily accessible reference and navigational tool for staff, students, or visitors to UQ, so they can easily discover the carvings in the Great Court and identify the date each was carved, as well as their history and meaning. It also aims to explain in an easily accessible format what the Great Court carvings represent (several new carvings have been added since the book was last updated), and to provide a souvenir for visitors engaging with UQ.
